Why pay premium for electronics?

Today's post will be about saving money (and a cheer goes up from the audience). I know the latest gadgetry is tempting. Today everyone wants a hot new iphone 3g, the lastest mp3 player or an xbox 360 elite. Well its great to be the first of your friends to get one of these brand spanking new products, but do you want to pay the premium price?

Consider this: the first people to run out and grab an iphone got smacked when a week later the price dropped by $100. If you try to buy a product as soon as it comes out, you will have to pay top dollar. If you insist on buying it as soon as it comes out, then you can still get a decent deal.

How are we going to do it?

Well, we're going to shop online. Purchasing second hands goods or online deals will save you bundle on an iphone or xbox. There are a few reasons for this. If you're buying something like an xbox, then your purchase will include things like xbox 360 controllers, xbox 360 games, accessories, maybe a faceplate and anything else the old owner throws in. This is great because you're saving the cost of these items and the time it would take you go around and assemble everything.

If we're talking about the iphone then we're saving in another way. First off, you'll be able to get an iphone, which is saying something these days. On top of that, you can pick up an iphone that's already got some downloads, maybe a case and any extra goodies that the iphone user has.

Now another reason we save online is because of the reduced brick and mortar costs. When you go to a store, you're helping them pay for their employees, rent, insurance, and all the regular costs of running a business. The costs are greatly reduced online, which means lower prices. So by and by we can see that buying online is the way to go.
